Nigerian Senate Confirms New Heads for Petroleum Regulatory Agencies Amidst Corruption Allegations

The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Saidu Moham and Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan as the new CEOs of the Nigerian Midstream Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) respectively. This decision follows the resignation of Farouk Ahm amidst corruption allegations.

The nominations were presented by Senator Kawu Sumaila, with the Senate unanimously approving the appointments. The Senate Deputy President, Jibrin Barau, commended the joint committee for their thorough screening process and urged the new appointees to serve the nation diligently.
