Nigerian Senate Confirms NERC Commissioners and Ambassadors Nominated by Bola Tinubu

The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the appointment of two commissioners to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and three non-career ambassadors nominated by President Bola Tinubu. The confirmed appointees include Aisha Mahmud Kanti Bello, Dr.

Animashaun Fouad Olayinka for NERC, and non-career ambassadors Lateef Kayode Kolawole, Aminu Muhammad Dalhatu, and Emmanuel Ayodel Ok CFR. The nominees underwent screening by the Senate committees before their confirmation.

This move is part of the ongoing process to fill key government positions. Tinubu had submitted a list of 64 ambassadorial nominees, including notable names like Mahmood Yakubu, Femi Fani-Kayode, and Reno Omokri.
