Katung Announces Reelection Bid for Kaduna South Senate

On Monday, Sundai Marshal Katung, the current Senator representing the Kaduna South Senatorial Zone, formally declared his intention to seek reelection ahead of the 2027 elections. This announcement took place during the inauguration of his campaign council held at the new stadium in Kafanchan.

In his address, Katung presented a stewardship report and highlighted his legislative achievements, which include the establishment of a federal university of applied sciences in Kachia and a proposed college of medicine in Manchok. He emphasized the importance of human capital development and infrastructure projects across Southern Kaduna.

Katung expressed gratitude to the people of Southern Kaduna for their mandate given in 2023 and reiterated his commitment to ensuring that Kaduna South remains adequately represented in national affairs. He called for support from traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth, and women across the senatorial district.
