Nwoko Denies Paris Club Allegations, Cites EFCC Clearances

Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North in the 10th National Assembly, has strongly refuted recent allegations concerning the Paris Club refund. In a statement issued by his media team in Abuja, he cited four separate clearances from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that confirm the legitimacy of the transactions.

Nwoko described the allegations as false, misleading, and malicious, asserting that the matter has been exhaustively investigated and settled by relevant authorities. He emphasized that no improper relationships exist with the Attorney General or the Federal Ministry of Justice and denied ever receiving a payment of 350 million Naira linked to the claims.

Nwoko urged the public to rely on official records from institutions like the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Nigeria, which corroborate the legitimacy of the transactions. He also noted that legal steps have been initiated against individuals spreading misinformation, specifically naming Georg Uboh and Omoyele Sowore as orchestrators of a defamation campaign.
