Oluremi Tinubu Advocates for Police Families' Welfare

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the new Inspector General of Police, Mutiat Disu, called for continued support for the welfare of police officers' families during a meeting held behind closed doors at the State House in Abuja. The meeting aimed to collaborate on support programs designed to enhance the welfare of police officers' wives across the country.

Senator Tinubu expressed her readiness to leverage various programs to improve health and welfare and empower members of the Police Officers' Wives Association (POWA). She highlighted the importance of the Renew Hope Initiative (RHI) in providing social interventions and healthcare for police families.

Mutiat Disu, who took over as Inspector General of Police on February 24, 2026, emphasized the need for programs that would benefit the families of police officers, particularly women, and expressed commitment to working towards these goals.
