Tambuwal Backs Yabo in Sokoto East Senatorial Race

Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has officially stepped down from the senatorial race for Sokoto East, endorsing Faruk Malami Yabo, a former commissioner, as the candidate for the ADC party. This decision follows a reconciliation agreement reached among stakeholders.

Ibrahim Lamido, who was also contesting for the Sokoto East senatorial seat, has withdrawn from the race, although no official reason was provided for his withdrawal. The ADC party has yet to announce its official candidate for the Sokoto East senatorial district following Lamido's exit.

Additionally, it is expected that Hon. Mani Mainshinku will secure the ticket for the Sokoto Central senatorial district.

Alhaji Lamir Ameen, the spokesperson for the party in the state, confirmed these developments and emphasized the party's commitment to creating opportunities for younger politicians to participate in the electoral process.
