Lawyer Dismisses Suit Against Jonathan's 2027 Bid as Court Abuse

Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Oba Maduabuchi, has dismissed a fresh suit aiming to bar Goodluck Jonathan from the 2027 race, stating it as an abuse of court process. Maduabuchi highlighted that the issue of Jonathan's qualification has already been settled in a competent court in Yenegoa.

He emphasized that attempting to relitigate the case is an abuse of the court system. The senior lawyer questioned the validity of Section 1373, which Jonathan allegedly violated, pointing out the timing of its enactment.

Maduabuchi criticized the attempt to apply a law retroactively and urged parties to respect the legal process.
