Seplat Energy Trains 623 Teachers in Edo, Delta States

Seplat Energy has successfully trained 623 teachers as part of its Teacher Empowerment Program, which was launched in 2020. The program aims to strengthen teacher capacity across Edo and Delta states by focusing on skills acquisition, digital literacy, and pedagogical improvement.

The graduation ceremony took place at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub in Benin, Edo State. Chioma Af, the Director of External Affairs and Social Performance at Seplat Energy, emphasized the importance of the program in equipping teachers with critical thinking and leadership skills.

Emmanuel Okoebor, representing the Edo State Finance Commission, confirmed that the program aligns with the state's educational agenda. Other notable attendees included Nicola Foucart, Managing Director of NEPL, and representatives from the British Council.

The event also featured a teacher innovation contest, showcasing market-ready ideas from participants, including Stephen Egbeburu and Matthew Nwokoy.
