SERAP Sues Akpabio and Abbas Over Missing ₦18.6 Billion NASS Funds

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has filed a lawsuit against Senator Akpabio and Speaker Abbas over the missing ₦18.6 billion meant for the construction of the National Assembly Service Commission office complex in Abuja. The lawsuit follows allegations of unjustified and unaccounted spending flagged in the Auditor General's 2022 annual report.

SERAP seeks accountability and transparency in the handling of public funds by government officials.
