NASENI Trains 220 Youths and Women in Benue State

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) conducted a training program for 220 youths and women in Benue State, equipping them with entrepreneurial and technical skills. The beneficiaries included 100 men and 120 women, who received training in solar power installation and the production of household essentials such as soap and Vaseline.

At the closing ceremony held at the Federal Polytechnic, Wannune, in Tarka Local Government Area, Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, commended President Bola Tinubu’s empowerment initiatives as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda. Akume, represented by his Technical Adviser, Prof. Babatunde Benard, stated that the Federal Government is committed to enhancing the capacity of Nigerians to contribute to industrialization.

He emphasized that the starter packs provided would enable beneficiaries to establish small businesses, potentially growing into larger enterprises. Akume urged the beneficiaries to utilize the skills and equipment for personal and community development rather than selling them.
