Akume Praises Tinubu's Achievements in Key Sectors

On August 11, 2026, in Abuja, Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his notable achievements in transforming Nigeria's infrastructure, education, and security sectors within less than four years in office. During a courtesy visit from the Tinubu National Frontiers (TNF), led by National Coordinator Hajiya Yasmin Binta Sabeh, Akume emphasized the administration's progress in infrastructure, citing projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and the Sokoto-Badagry Road.

He also noted reforms in education, including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which has attracted interest from six African countries. Additionally, Akume commended Tinubu's efforts in enhancing security, mentioning the establishment of four new divisions in the Nigerian Army and the recruitment of 50,000 policemen.

Hajiya Yasmin Binta Sabeh expressed the TNF's commitment to supporting Tinubu's re-election, while Oyo State Coordinator Mr. Braimoh Adebayo highlighted the group's role in the APC's victory in the 2023 Presidential Election.
