Nigerian Army Announces Major Leadership Reshuffle

The Nigerian Army has announced a major reshuffle of senior officers following the approval of Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu. The redeployments, aimed at strengthening national security and improving operational effectiveness, were detailed in a statement issued on Saturday by Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Appolonia Anel.

Key appointments include Major General W.M. Dangana as General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division, replacing Major General E.F.

Oyinlola, and Major General E.I. Okoro as GOC 6 Division.

Other notable appointments include Major General J.R. Lar as Commander Army Headquarters Garrison and Brigadier General O.M.

Oyekola as Acting Military Secretary. The reshuffle reflects the Army's emphasis on addressing emerging security threats and enhancing combat readiness.
