Chief of Naval Staff Urges Peace Among Rivers Political Actors

Chief of Naval Staff, Ibas, has called on political actors in Rivers State to prioritize peace and unity over personal gains. The appeal was made during a Church Thanksgiving Service in Port Harcourt, following the return of Governor Sim Fubara to power after a state of emergency was declared.

The move aimed to quell political tensions in the state, especially amidst conflicts between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike. Ibas emphasized the need for political stakeholders to work towards the progress and prosperity of Rivers State, setting aside personal interests for the benefit of the citizens.
