Shehu Sani Urges Nigeria to Prioritize Sports Beyond Football

Senator Shehu Sani from Kaduna South called on the Nigerian government to focus on developing sports other than football, such as hockey, table tennis, wrestling, and taekwondo. He highlighted the importance of diversifying sports investments to achieve success in global competitions like the Olympics.

Sani made these remarks during a novelty hockey match organized by the Science College Kagara Old Students Association in Niger State. He emphasized the need to nurture sports talent early on and integrate sports into the educational system.
