Shehu Sani Calls for Changing Title of Local Government Chairmen to Mayors in Tinubu's Government

Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has urged the government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to change the title of Local Government Chairmen to Mayors, arguing that the new title would better reflect their executive position. Sani, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), believes that the title of Chairman does not properly represent the role.

He also criticized the Tinubu administration for allegedly favoring certain regions in political appointments. Sani highlighted the benefits received by the North West and South West regions under Tinubu's government.

This call for a change in title comes amidst ongoing political discussions within the APC.
