Sheikh Gumi Responds to Killing of ISIS Leader Al-Minuki

Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, an Islamic cleric, responded to the killing of Abu Bilal Al-Minuki, identified as the second-in-command of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), during a joint military operation conducted by US forces in collaboration with the Nigerian military. Gumi made his comments in a Facebook post on Saturday, criticizing those involved in the fight against terrorism who have blood on their hands, stating that it is a religious obligation to annihilate terrorists.

The operation, which was announced by former US President Donald Trump, followed extensive intelligence gathering and strategic coordination aimed at tracking ISIS leaders. Al-Minuki was among active ISIS figures allegedly involved in coordinating attacks and supporting terrorist operations against American and African communities.

Trump stated that the operation significantly weakened ISIS activities globally and reduced the group's influence in Africa, commending the Nigerian government and military authorities for their cooperation during the mission.
