Sheikh Mansour's Ownership of Manchester City Under Scrutiny

Sheikh Mansour bin Zai Al Nahyan is under scrutiny due to potential links to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan as Manchester City's ownership comes into focus. Human rights organization FairSquare is investigating possible connections between the UK government and allegations of support for the RSF, which has been accused of numerous war crimes during the conflict in Sudan, resulting in at least 150,000 deaths over the past two years.

The United Arab Emirates has firmly denied any involvement in supporting either side of the conflict. Questions have been raised about Sheikh Mansour's influence on UK financial sanction processes, particularly in light of the British government's actions against Russian owner Roman Abramovich of Chelsea during the invasion of Ukraine, which forced him to sell the club.

However, no similar actions have been taken regarding Sheikh Mansour's ownership of Manchester City at this time.
