Shettima Arrives in Sierra Leone for ECOWAS Summit

Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, arrived in Lungi, Sierra Leone, on Sunday to participate in the 69th Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Heads of State and Government Summit. Upon his arrival at the Sierra Leone International Airport, Shettima was welcomed by Sierra Leone's Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Jalloh, along with Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb.

Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Sola Enikanolaiye.

The Nigerian High Commission in Sierra Leone, represented by Amb. Ayo Luther Ogbomod, and the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ga Ekperikp Ekpo, were also present.

The summit aims to bring together heads of state, government officials, diplomats, and development partners from across West Africa to discuss key regional issues, including peace, security, economic integration, and sustainable development. Nigeria's participation underscores its commitment to regional diplomacy and the determination to strengthen cooperation among ECOWAS member states.
