Shettima, Obasanjo, Jonathan to Attend Soludo's Inauguration

The inauguration ceremony for Chukwuma Soludo's second term as Governor of Anambra State is set to take place at the newly renovated Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka. Notable attendees expected include Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, and other dignitaries such as elder statesman Chief Emeka Anyaoku.

The event, confirmed by sources at the Government House in Awka, is anticipated to attract a high-profile audience, including traditional rulers from 179 communities across the state. In preparation for the event, security has been tightened, with personnel from the Nigeria Police, Security Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps, and other agencies deployed strategically across the state.

Soludo, who was re-elected on November 8, 2025, under the platform of the Progress Grand Alliance, expressed gratitude to the people of Anambra for their support and pledged to deliver democratic dividends during his second term.
