Anambra Police Enhance Security for Soludo's Inauguration

The Anambra State Police Command has announced heightened security measures across the state in preparation for the second-term inauguration of Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.

The inauguration ceremony is set to take place on Tuesday at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, with Dr.

Onyekachukwu Ibezim serving as the deputy governor. A statement released by the police public relations officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, indicated that the command is collaborating with security agencies to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free event.

The police have received 100 trained equipment officers and completed arm combat training for personnel at the Oji River police college. These officers will be strategically deployed across the state to enhance patrols and intelligence gathering.

The police spokesperson urged residents and visitors to cooperate with security personnel and maintain law and order during the inauguration ceremony, emphasizing the command's commitment to providing adequate security for the event.
