Shettima Urges PR Experts to Communicate Policies Clearly

On Tuesday, Vice President Kashim Shettima addressed public relations practitioners in Nigeria, emphasizing the need for clarity in communicating government reforms and policies to build public trust. Speaking at the 3rd Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Week in Kaduna, Shettima noted that poorly explained policies often lead to public distrust and resistance towards government initiatives.

He highlighted the Tinubu administration's efforts to enhance food security, including the deployment of 2,000 tractors and the establishment of a N100 billion agricultural fund. Shettima urged PR professionals to ensure that government policies are communicated in a manner that resonates with citizens.

He also acknowledged the role of Kaduna State Governor Ubah Sani in supporting food security initiatives. The event featured various speakers, including Dr.

Ibrahim Chisung from South Africa, who commended Nigeria's agricultural potential and progress in food security. The NIPR Week also announced that Nigeria will host a global summit on public relations in November.
