Shettima to Welcome Dauda Lawal into APC in Zamfara

Vice President Kashim Shettima is scheduled to receive Governor Dauda Lawal into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara on Tuesday. This announcement was made by the state APC chairman, Tukur Danfulani Maikatako, during a stakeholders meeting held in Gusau on Saturday.

Maikatako expressed satisfaction with Lawal's decision to return to the party, noting that the formal reception will include the Vice President and members of the party's national leadership. He emphasized that Zamfara is a traditional stronghold for the APC and that Lawal's return reflects renewed confidence in the party's platform.

Maikatako called on party members across the 147 wards and 14 local government areas to turn out in large numbers to welcome the Vice President, highlighting the significance of this event in strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. He urged party members to set aside internal differences and work collectively towards unity and progress, while also encouraging grassroots mobilization to spread the party's message.
