Shettima to Welcome Governor Lawal Back to APC in Zamfara

Vice President Kashim Shettima is scheduled to visit Zamfara on Tuesday to formally welcome Governor Dauda Lawal back to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This announcement was made by the state APC chairman, Tukur Danfulani Maikatako, during a stakeholders' meeting held in Gusau on Saturday.

Maikatako expressed satisfaction with Governor Lawal's decision to defect back to the APC, noting that the vice president and members of the party's national leadership will be present at the event. He highlighted that Zamfara has long been a stronghold for the APC and that Lawal's return signifies a realization that the APC remains the preferred political platform.

Maikatako urged party members across the state to mobilize and welcome the vice president in large numbers, aiming to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. He called for unity among party members, urging them to set aside internal divisions and work together for the common goal of making Zamfara a better place.
