Siasia and Amokachi Compete for U-23 Eagles Coach Role

The head coach position for Nigeria's U-23 Eagles has become vacant following the departure of former assistant coach Salisu Yusuf. Among the candidates vying for this role are former Nigeria internationals Samson Siasia and Daniel Amokachi.

Samson Siasia has previously managed the U-23 national team during two separate spells, leading Nigeria to a silver medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Daniel Amokachi, also a former Nigeria international, has previously managed the U-23 Eagles.

The Nigeria Football Federation is currently reviewing applications for the coaching position and is expected to announce the next appointment soon.
