SSS Executes Strategic Campaign Against Terrorism in Nigeria

The State Security Service (SSS) has undertaken a strategic campaign against insecurity in Nigeria, focusing on dismantling terror networks and executing high-profile arrests. Notable operations include the capture of Mahmud Muhammad Usman, a self-proclaimed emir of Ansaru, and Abubakar Abba, a leader of a Boko Haram faction, both responsible for widespread terror across Kwara and Kogi states.

The SSS has also recaptured Abdulazeez Obadaki, a mastermind behind a 2012 massacre. In a series of operations, the SSS arrested 54 suspects and recovered weapons, including RPGs and heavy machine guns, while rescuing 79 kidnap victims.

The agency's efforts have drawn attention from international bodies, with President Bola Tinubu visiting Benu State following a deadly attack that killed over 150 people. The SSS continues to file charges against suspects involved in these terror activities, demonstrating a commitment to restoring safety in Nigeria.
