Simba in Talks to Sign Nigerian Goalkeeper Stanlei Nwabali from Chippa United

Tanzanian football club Simba is engaging in discussions to sign Nigerian goalkeeper Stanlei Nwabali from South African side Chippa United. Nwabali, aged 29, is on the final six months of his contract and is eligible to enter pre-contract negotiations with foreign clubs.

Simba is considering a move for Nwabali either in the current transfer window on a free transfer or at the end of the season. The club's interest in Nwabali has been accelerated by Camara's knee injury, leading to the signing of Mahamad Tanja Kassila as a quick replacement.

While no formal agreement has been reached, sources indicate that Simba is actively negotiating with Nwabali's camp. Nwabali's impressive performances, including securing a bronze medal at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles, have made him a prime target for Simba as they seek a successor to Camara.
