Nigerian Singer Simi's "Duduke" Earns First Foreign Certification in New Zealand

Nigerian singer Simi, also known as Simisola Kosoko, has earned her first-ever foreign certification with her popular song "Duduke," which has been certified gold in New Zealand after selling 15,000 units. The song, released in 2022, expresses the rhythmic beat of Simi's heart for her unborn child, as she flaunted her baby bump in the music video.

Simi even launched the "Duduke Challenge," inviting fans to create their own interpretations of the song. In an interview, Simi revealed that people call her daughter Adejare "Duduke," as she was inspired by the popular song.

She clarified that "Duduke" is not offensive, but she prefers to call her daughter by her name.
