Flavour Opens Up About Addiction and Spiritual Journey

Flavour, a prominent highlife singer, shared his struggles with addiction during a Live session with fans and friends. He reflected on losing his virginity at the age of 24, which significantly affected his sexual life, particularly after losing contact with his first sexual partner.

This lack of communication left him feeling overwhelmed and ashamed, prompting him to confide in a friend. He described this period as one of the lowest points in his life, leading him to seek spiritual assistance.

Although his pastor provided him with prayer points, Bible verses, and a 21-day spiritual exercise, Flavour relapsed shortly after attending a show. He later sought advice from an older Cameroonian member of his band, who offered a different perspective on his situation.

Flavour rose to national prominence with a 2010 hit song that became one of Nigeria's biggest highlife tracks, which explored themes of romance and sexuality.
