IPOB Spokesperson Clashes with Lawyer Over Sit-at-Home Order in South East

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) spokesperson, Emma Powerful, reacted to lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor's advice to residents in the South East to ignore the sit-at-home order declared by the group in solidarity with traders at the Onitsha Main Market. The Anambra State Governor, Prof.

Chukwuma Soludo, enforced the closure of the market due to non-compliance with the ban. IPOB criticized the governor's actions and instructed traders to open their shops regardless of the order.

In response, IPOB's lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, issued a statement countering the sit-at-home directive, questioning Emma Powerful's role in the organization and alleging compromise. Emma Powerful clarified that non-members cannot speak for IPOB and stressed that IPOB's leader, Nnamdi Kanu, established a chain of command within the organization.
