IPOB Cancels Monday Sit-at-Home Order in South-East Nigeria

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has officially canceled the Monday sit-at-home directive across the South-East region, effective February 9, 2026. The group's leader, Nnamdi Kanu, directed residents to return to schools, workplaces, and markets without fear.

IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful, emphasized the importance of resuming economic activities and normalcy in the region. IPOB warned residents about possible false flag operations and intimidation attempts by opponents.

The group urged calmness, vigilance, and adherence to the law while resuming normal activities. IPOB also addressed concerns about the enforcement of the sit-at-home order, stating that it was not authorized and encouraged traders and businesses to operate freely.

The decision to cancel the sit-at-home directive was made to ensure unity, freedom, dignity, and justice in the region.
