Fatal Truck Crash Kills Six on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

A fatal truck crash occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway near Foursquare Camp, claiming six lives and injuring 23 people. The crash involved a DAF CF 380 truck painted white and blue with registration number SNA 287 XA.

The trailer, believed to be from the northern part of the country, was carrying passengers and 35 cows. The injured were taken to Oreoluwa Hospital, Gofamint Camp, and Victoria Hospital for treatment.

Afolabi Odunsi Oyewol, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Sector Command of the FRSC, disclosed that the crash was likely caused by fatigue and excess speed. The FRSC rescue team responded within two minutes of the incident.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact factors that led to the crash. Motorists are advised to maintain safe speeds, ensure proper vehicle control, and observe road safety regulations.
