Six Bandit Leaders Killed in Zamfara Military Offensive

In a recent military offensive in the Tsafe local government area of Zamfara State, six notorious bandit leaders were eliminated, including the son of feared kingpin Ado Allero. The operation resulted in the neutralization of 65 fighters and several high-ranking commanders linked to extensive kidnapping and cattle rustling activities across Zamfara and neighboring states.

The offensive targeted multiple camps in the Munhay surrounding forest enclave, leading to the destruction of hideouts and the recovery of weapons and logistics. Security sources confirmed that the elimination of these key figures, particularly Ado Allero’s son, represents a significant tactical success and a blow to the command structure of the bandit network.

However, security experts caution that this could provoke retaliatory attacks from fleeing elements seeking revenge. Consequently, clearance operations and aerial surveillance have intensified in the Tsafe and Shinkafi areas to prevent regrouping and dismantle remaining loyalist cells within the Zamfara-Katsina forest corridor.
