Six Security Firms Certified by NCAA for Aviation Safety

Six security firms have secured certification from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) as part of efforts to strengthen aviation security standards and regulatory compliance in Nigeria's aviation sector. The firms include Maiken Security Consult Services, Jomar Security Services Nigeria, and Vani Security.

Chris Najomo, the Director General of the NCAA, and Bernard Omogo, the Director of Aviation Security Regulation, emphasized that certification remains compulsory for institutions engaged in aviation security operations. The certification process is strictly based on compliance with established regulatory standards.

Hamza Ibrahim, the head of training certification at NCAA, described this exercise as a new phase in verifying the services provided by these institutions. The certification has a validity period that extends from two to three years for the first time.

The event was attended by stakeholders from the aviation security sector, who expressed appreciation for the NCAA's efforts in this significant initiative.
