Nnewi Digital Community Lauds Iykon Foundation's Impact

The Nnewi Digital Community, represented by founder Cornel Osigwe, has praised the Iykon Foundation for its impactful youth empowerment initiatives designed to equip young people in Nnewi with practical income-generating skills. The program focuses on training in areas such as electronics, ICT, software and hardware development, hotel management, fashion, agriculture, and more.

It aims to address youth unemployment by providing a structured approach to vocational development. Upon completing a six-month training program, beneficiaries are eligible for grants totaling one million naira, which helps overcome significant barriers faced by young entrepreneurs in securing startup capital.

The Nnewi Digital Community proposed a strategic collaboration with Iykon Foundation to integrate social media marketing and basic digital enterprise training, enabling beneficiaries to promote their services online and expand their market reach. This initiative is seen as a forward-thinking model for youth empowerment and has the potential to set a benchmark for similar interventions across Nigeria.
