Sokoto APC Endorses Ahmadu Aliyu for 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State has officially endorsed Ahmadu Aliyu for a second term as the governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections. This endorsement was confirmed during a governorship affirmation exercise held on Thursday, where delegates from 23 local government areas participated.

Aliyu emerged unopposed, with Mukhtar Birniwa serving as the chairman of the APC electoral committee. The consensus arrangement reflected the collective decision of party members, demonstrating overwhelming support across all 244 wards in Sokoto State.

Following the affirmation, Aliyu expressed gratitude to the party members and residents for their confidence in his leadership. He described the endorsement as a strong vote of confidence in his administration and pledged to intensify efforts toward delivering development projects and improving the welfare of citizens.

Aliyu also emphasized the importance of consolidating the achievements of his administration and sustaining inclusive governance across the state.
