Kwara Stakeholders Endorse APC Candidate for 2027 Elections

On June 25, 2026, stakeholders from Kwara State endorsed Yakubu Danladi Salihu as the APC governorship candidate for the 2027 elections. The endorsement was confirmed by the primary election committee led by Musili Obanikoro.

Mallam Biola Nasir, the CKAI coordinator, expressed strong support for Salihu and reaffirmed loyalty to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. The stakeholders emphasized the need for unity within the party and called for open dialogue to resolve differences.

They highlighted the importance of including youth and women in governance decisions. The meeting also recognized the support from the Ifelodun, Offa, and Oyun federal constituencies for the APC's candidates.

The stakeholders expressed confidence in the party's grassroots support and pledged to mobilize members for the upcoming elections, dismissing claims from opposition parties about unseating the APC in the area.
