Sokoto APC Elects New Executives in Peaceful Congress

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State conducted a peaceful congress on Tuesday, adopting a consensus approach to elect new state executives. Haruna Adiya was affirmed as the new state chairman, succeeding Isa Sadiq Achida, who served as the outgoing chairman.

The congress was overseen by Mukhtar Musa, the chairman of the state congress committee, who emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation within the party. Delegates unanimously approved the new executive list through a voice vote.

Adiya delivered a brief acceptance speech, thanking party members for their confidence and pledging to justify their trust. Achida expressed appreciation for the cooperation of party members during his tenure and commended the state governor for his service to the people.

The congress included key figures such as Yahya Buhari, the deputy state chairman, and Bello Abdullahi, the state secretary, highlighting the orderly conduct of the congress as a boost for the APC's stability in Sokoto State ahead of future political activities.
