APC Elects New Executives in Sokoto State Congress

The All Progressives Congress (APC) held a state congress in Sokoto State where new executives were elected. Professor Muztaz Aliyu Abubakar oversaw the congress, resulting in Alhaji Haruna Sarkin Gobir Adiyya being elected as the state chairman through a consensus arrangement.

Alhaji Yahaya Buhari emerged as the deputy chairman, while Barrister Bello Abdullahi was elected as the state secretary. Other officials included Alhaji Abubakar S.

Fada as assistant secretary and Alhaji Muhammad Umar as the public relations officer. The outgoing state chairman, Hon. Isah Sadeeq Achida, expressed gratitude to party members for their support during his tenure and urged the new executives to strengthen the party's structure across the state.

Adiyya, in his remarks, described the emergence of the new leadership as a collective decision by party stakeholders and pledged to promote inclusivity and internal cohesion within the state chapter. The congress concluded without any reported disruptions, successfully constituting the party's state leadership.
