Jigawa APC Elects Ahmad Garba as State Chairman

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State held a state congress on Tuesday at Dutsin-Ma Stadium, resulting in the election of Ahmad Garba as the new state chairman along with 35 other executives, including Nasiru Jahun as deputy chairman and Uzairu Maigatari as state secretary. The congress was conducted in a peaceful and consensual manner, as confirmed by Shehu Ma Azu, the chairman of the APC state congress committee.

Governor Umar Namadi commended party members for their maturity and commitment to the party's growth, emphasizing the importance of unity and discipline among members. He noted that there were no reports of violence during the congress, reflecting the party's strength and unity.

Garba, in his acceptance speech, pledged to foster unity within the party and work collaboratively with stakeholders to strengthen its structure across the state, ensuring inclusivity and engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
