Sokoto Governor Gifts Community 18-Seater Bus

On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu presented an 18-seater bus to a resident community, responding to requests made by community members. The gift was received during a ceremony led by his special adviser, Hajiya Maryam Suleiman, and was attended by various tribal representatives from across Nigeria.

Dr. Godwin Onuh Odeh, head of the History and International Studies department at Sokoto State University, described the gift as "awesome" and acknowledged the governor's efforts to foster unity and inclusivity among the state's diverse population. The governor assured residents that their requests would continue to receive attention, including the establishment of a secretariat school for the community.

The event was marked by prayers for peace and progress in Sokoto State, with residents expressing gratitude for the governor's leadership and support. The bus is expected to enhance community transport and activities, reflecting the governor's commitment to addressing the needs of the people.
