Sokoto Governor Aliyu to Renovate District Heads' Palaces

Sokoto State Governor Ahmadu Aliyu announced that his administration will soon commence the renovation of district heads' palaces across the state. This decision was made during a reception for Sultan Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III at the Sallah Homage Banquet Hall in the Presidential Lodge, Sokoto.

Governor Aliyu emphasized that the initiative aims to ensure that district heads, who are traditional authorities, have suitable accommodations to effectively discharge their responsibilities. He acknowledged the dilapidated conditions of these palaces and confirmed that renovations will begin with the palace in Wurno.

The governor reiterated his administration's commitment to working closely with the Sultan Council to address critical challenges affecting rural communities, particularly insecurity. He also expressed appreciation for the continued support from the people of Sokoto and encouraged residents to freely offer constructive suggestions to help advance the state.

Sultan Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III commended the governor for various people-oriented projects and assured him of the Sultan Council's unwavering support for the administration's transformative initiatives.
