Soldiers Destroy Terrorist Hideouts in Katsina State

On June 14, 2026, the Joint Task Force, under the operation codenamed "Operation Clean Sweep III," initiated a significant military offensive in Katsina State, specifically targeting terrorist hideouts in Matazu Local Government Area. This operation was launched following the death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, who was abducted alongside his wife by suspected terrorists in the area.

Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja led the troops in aggressive patrols and intelligence-led raids, successfully discovering and destroying multiple terrorist hideouts, particularly in the Dikkawa Hill area. The operation aimed to dismantle the criminal network and restore security across affected communities.
