Troops from the 17 Brigade, part of the quick response force elements of the 8 Division, intensified their offensive in Katsina, targeting terrorist hideouts. The operation involved precise clearance around Tuga Matazu local government area, disrupting identified terrorist enclaves.

Aerial support was utilized, leading to the recovery of significant quantities of rustled livestock, including cattle, sheep, and donkeys. The operation also resulted in the discovery of a hideout linked to a notorious terrorist leader, where two lifeless bodies were recovered, and Nura Yar Adua was rescued alive and found chained.

She was stabilized and evacuated to a federal teaching hospital in Katsina for further treatment. The operation led to the destruction of terrorist logistical structures, indicating casualties among criminal elements and significantly degrading their operational capabilities.
