Nigerian Soldiers Foil Kidnapping Attempt, Rescue 24 Travelers in Benue State

Nigerian soldiers successfully intervened in a kidnapping attempt in Benue State, rescuing 24 travelers from two commercial buses. The troops responded to a distress call, engaged in a firefight with the criminals, and compelled them to abandon their victims.

Fifteen passengers were initially rescued, with additional individuals found in subsequent search operations. Major General Mose Gara commended the troops for their prompt and professional response, emphasizing the commitment to safeguard lives and property in the region through sustained security operations.
