Soldiers Arrest Suspected Bandit with AK-47 in Kaduna

On a Friday operation, troops from the Nigerian Army's 2 Battalion, part of the Joint Task Force (JTF) North West, intercepted a suspected bandit identified as Ibrahim Adamu, aged 32, in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The interception occurred during a snap roadblock operation in Damari.

Adamu was riding a motorcycle when he was apprehended. The troops recovered an AK-47 magazine, three mobile phones, and Indian hemp from him.

Preliminary checks on Adamu's mobile phones revealed photographs allegedly showing him dressed in military camouflage and carrying a machine gun alongside other suspected bandits. The recovered items are currently in military custody as further investigations are conducted.
