Police Arrest Four Suspected Bandits in Kaduna State

On March 7, 2026, the Nigeria Police Force announced the arrest of four suspected bandits in Tayu Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State. The suspects, identified as Abdumumini Abubakar (40), Maikano Gambo (47), Saleh Thompson (47), and Oyonyi Odango (40), were apprehended following credible intelligence.

During the operation, the police recovered significant weaponry, including four AK-47 rifles, magazines, eighty rounds of 7.62 x 39mm ammunition, a locally fabricated pistol, and twenty rounds of 9mm ammunition. Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspects were linked to banditry and violent criminal activities in the region.

The police are continuing their investigations to apprehend other fleeing members of the criminal network. Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu commended the professionalism of the officers involved and reiterated the commitment of the police force to combat banditry and ensure the safety of lives and property across the country.
