Soldiers Neutralize Six Suspected Terrorists in Plateau

On Thursday, military spokesperson Chinonso Oteh reported that soldiers from the Nigerian military killed at least six suspected terrorists during an operation in Plateau State. The operation, named "Enduring Peace," took place from June 26 to July 2 in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area.

Troops launched the operation following intelligence reports about armed groups operating in the area. The operation commenced on June 26 at Gero Highground, where soldiers engaged suspected terrorists who were allegedly using livestock as cover.

Upon arrival, the troops encountered resistance, leading to a firefight that resulted in the neutralization of the terrorists. The military has not disclosed the exact number of terrorists killed during the operation, but it continues to pursue those who fled the scene.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and enhance security in the region.
