Soldiers Neutralize Terrorists, Arrest Suspects in Kaduna

On June 27-28, 2026, the Joint Task Force, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, conducted operations in Kaduna and Zamfara states targeting terrorist groups. During these operations, troops neutralized two terrorists and arrested eight suspects believed to be collaborating with the terrorists.

The troops successfully rescued a kidnap victim from a motorcycle transport during a fierce exchange of fire with the terrorists, who abandoned their motorcycles and fled into the bush. Unfortunately, the body of another victim, who had been killed by the terrorists, was also recovered.

Additionally, the troops responded to a report of a terrorist attack in Dariya village, where three civilians were killed and others injured. In Zamfara state, two suspects were arrested in Magami, while six suspects were apprehended around Polewir village in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna state.

The operations also led to the recovery of 110 rustled cattle, which were returned to their rightful owners. The Joint Task Force reaffirmed its commitment to combating insecurity in the region.
