Soldiers Neutralize Three Terrorists in Zamfara Operation

Troops from the Joint Task Force North West, under Operation Fansan Yamma, engaged in a successful operation in Zamfara State, where they neutralized three terrorists and recovered a significant cache of arms. The operation took place on May 7 in the Kaura Namoda and Birnin Magaji local government areas, aimed at combating terrorist activities in the region.

According to a statement signed by Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, the troops encountered armed terrorists in Doumbourum Village, leading to a fierce firefight. The troops overpowered the attackers, who fled, suffering casualties.

The operation resulted in the recovery of one AK-47 rifle, one machine gun, one locally fabricated handgun, seven rifle magazines, and a total of 571 rounds of ammunition. The task force reported no casualties among its personnel during this operation, which is part of their ongoing commitment to combat terrorism and criminal activities in the North West region of Nigeria.
