Soldiers Eliminate Two Bandits in Plateau State Operation

On Tuesday evening, soldiers conducted an operation in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, where they killed two bandits. This operation was carried out near the Doruwa Babuj area following credible intelligence regarding the movement of armed men suspected to be linked to attacks, sexual assaults, and armed robberies in the region.

During the engagement, the troops encountered gunmen in a firefight, resulting in the death of the two suspects, while others fled into nearby bushes. The military recovered a local fabric rifle, five rounds of 7.62x39mm ammunition, a cutlass, a jackknife, and a mobile phone.

The military has maintained a presence in the area, particularly around Lajam village, as part of ongoing efforts to track and apprehend the fleeing suspects and curb criminal activities, urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements to security agencies.
